In the spirit of reviving my poor, neglected blog, I have joined a small group of photographers in the undertaking of a monthly photo challenge for the year of 2012. For each month, a color theme has been designated, and on the 26th of that month, every photographer in the group will post their themed images.  Instead of being presented with only my perspective of that month's theme, you are presented with the perspective of the entire group, as at the bottom of our posts, we link to the next person in our circle of photographers, so that if you choose, you can keep clicking and see our very different visions of the same theme! Fun, right?

The theme for May is Blue and/or Yellow.  I thought these colors would be easy.  After all, I have 3 boys, so surely it must be easier to find a little blue or yellow in my daily life than purple or pink, right?  Not so much!

Luckily, I snapped this little gem during a family shoot this month.  It is my hands-down favorite image of the shoot, mostly due to the pure joy emanating from this adorable little boy.  By coincidence, it happens to feature some yellow sunlight filtering through the trees, as well as blue denim:

And, last Tuesday was my soon-to-be 5-year-old's last day of preschool.  Graduation, if you will.  We took a field trip to a local farm that was fully functional.  It was a swelteringly hot day, completely cloudless out in the fields, and I happened to look up and see this beautiful red barn contrasting the pure blue sky:

And there you have it! Next month's theme is Pastel Rainbow! Subscribe to my blog to get instant notifications of future posts, and comments are very welcome! Keep the circle going!
