In the spirit of reviving my poor, neglected blog, I have joined a small group of photographers in the undertaking of a monthly photo challenge for the year of 2012. For each month, a color theme has been designated, and on the 26th of that month, every photographer in the group will post their themed images.  Instead of being presented with only my perspective of that month's theme, you are presented with the perspective of the entire group, as at the bottom of our posts, we link to the next person in our circle of photographers, so that if you choose, you can keep clicking and see our very different visions of the same theme! Fun, right?

The theme for April is Purple and/or Pink.  For these colors, I had Easter in mind.  When it comes to decorating Easter eggs, I'm usually a helicopter parent, because my table has deep grooves running down it, where liquids will become embedded and not come out.  This year, I wanted them to be a bit more independent.  For the first time, I got my kids a dye they could do without possibly ruining my kitchen table - roll-on dye!  So I set them up with newspaper, dye, and rollers, and just let them go while I stood back and photographed the event.

This is my favorite image with "Purple and/or Pink" in it - my 4 year old's brightly, if sparsely, dyed egg.

And there you have it! Next month's theme is Yellow and/or Blue! Subscribe to my blog to get instant notifications of future posts, and comments are very welcome! Keep the circle going!
