In the spirit of reviving my poor, neglected blog, I have joined a small group of photographers in the undertaking of a monthly photo challenge for the year of 2012. For each month, a color theme has been designated, and on the 26th of that month, every photographer in the group will post their themed images. Instead of being presented with only my perspective of that month's theme, you are presented with the perspective of the entire group, as at the bottom of our posts, we link to the next person in our circle of photographers, so that if you choose, you can keep clicking and see our very different visions of the same theme! Fun, right?
The theme for March is Green and/or Gold. All month long, I planned for my photo opportunity to be on St. Patrick's Day, when there was an MMA event I was supposed to photograph. Unfortunately it was postponed at the last minute, until April! Fortunately, just after that, it began to warm right up here in Minnesota. Very unusual for March! Highs of 80's followed by lots of rain made things green up quick, so the kids and I ventured out in search of green and gold, or just green, and we found a lot of it.
Of all of the photos I took that day, this is my favorite. The sun was hitting the tree just right, and the texture was amazing. I cranked my aperture shut as tight as it would go, to get the most depth and detail, and this is what I came up with! Enjoy!

And there you have it! Next month's theme is Purple and/or Pink! Subscribe to my blog to get instant notifications of future posts, and comments are very welcome! Keep the circle going!
