V-day is only moments away (or at least it feels like it) and you're scrambling to finalize the goodies for your kids to bring to school.  In all of that craziness, did you forget to do something for your littlest valentines?  This mom to the rescue with a few last minute ideas to make your kids' V-day morning a great one:

Conversation Heart Toast

I don't know about you, but I just love those little conversation hearts!  The messages on them have changed a bit over the years, though.  I remember sayings like "Be Mine" and "Say Yes," but now the hearts have things like "Text Me" and "U Rock."  Whatever the sayings, recreating these little candies for breakfast is a super cute way to tell your kids how much you love them.  That is why I will be making Conversation Heart Toast.  I'm lacking skills in the kitchen, but this is one I can do.  Using a heart cookie cutter, cut the bread.  Then, with a little bit of water and food coloring, paint the bread.  Finally, with a small paint brush and a different food coloring mixed with water, write your message.  Toast the bread, and voila:  Conversation Heart Toast!  I plan to write:  Love You, XoXo, Text Me, Tweet Me, ILY (teen-speak for I love you), Kiss Me and U Rock.

Chex Mix

When my girls get home from school, they always have a snack.  This year, their snack will be Valentines Day Chex Mix, thanks to BetterCrocker.com.  Super easy and festive, this snack contains just a few ingredients including pink and red M&Ms, powdered sugar, Chex Cereal and sprinkles. So fun!

Heart-Shaped Pizza

With 3 picky kids, I always have a hard time finding 1 meal that all 5 of us will eat.  Pizza is the exception to the rule and this V-day, I plan to make a heart-shaped pizza.  Super easy (are you sensing a theme here?) but right on the money.  Use a pizza cutter to shape the dough into a heart before baking.  The kids are going to love it!

Are you planning anything fun for the kiddos on V-day?  I'd love to hear your ideas so I can use them for next year J Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
