This series was created with one goal in mind: to offer meaningful, supportive, and relevant group experiences that help families thrive—individually and together. Each week, families gathered in a hybrid setting (a combination of virtual and in-person sessions), giving them the flexibility to participate while balancing school, work, and other responsibilities. Evening sessions made it easier for everyone to attend, and we were thrilled to see strong participation and engagement throughout the series. Here's a look at the weekly topics we covered: - Week 1: Money Matters & Budgeting
Families learned about budgeting basics, financial planning, and how to make the most of their resources. - Week 2: Recharge & Reconnect
We focused on mental wellness, self-care strategies, and strengthening family bonds. - Week 3: Self-Advocacy & Leadership
This session empowered families to find their voice, build confidence, and take the lead in their lives and communities. - Week 4: Education & Job Search
We explored opportunities for continuing education, job search tools, and career development with the support of community partners. - Week 5: Empowerment
This uplifting session encouraged personal growth, self-belief, and resilience. - Week 6: Movie Night
We wrapped up the series with a fun, relaxing movie night—a time for families to simply enjoy each other's company and celebrate their journey together. A big thank you to our dedicated program staff and our community partners who helped facilitate several of these sessions. Most importantly, thank you to our families for showing up, sharing, and making these gatherings meaningful. We're so grateful for the feedback we received—many families expressed appreciation for the hybrid model and the evening schedule that worked with their busy lives. It's clear that these sessions provided more than just information—they created a space for connection, support, and growth. We look forward to continuing to serve our families with programming that meets their needs, honors their experiences, and uplifts their goals. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
